Weekly Update
Well, my first week of the Spring 2007 quarter is done. My courses seem very interesting so far. All of my professors, but one seem great a teaching except for my Economics 100B course. The lectures are based on slides, which is posted online, and basically the professor just reads off the slides. It doesn’t take a PhD degree to read content off slides. The professor doesn’t write anything on the chalk board or work out any of the calculus-type problems on the board so it is very difficult and troublesome to follow at times. In addition, he uses a laser pointer (when it works, which it never) and the laser beam on the screen is an incredibly tiny dot which is also difficult to see. I don’t see the point in going to lecture either. On RateMyProfessor.com, the professor’s rating is about a 1.2 out of 5. This goes to show how other students thought of his teaching and course in the past quarters. And the content in this course isn’t easy at all either. It’s going to get more difficult as the quarter goes by. Oh well… hopefully it will get better.
I am going to try something new from now on by providing a song of the day. The song is by ”Kyven” and it is called “Don’t Ever Stop”. Enjoy!
