Let Fate Decide
So this week is presently the 8th week of school. Only 2 more weeks left until finals. I know I haven’t made a post in a while (8 weeks to be exact). As you can see, right when school started I was hammered and still continue to be hammered with work. Since I am trying to change my major, I have to work twice as hard as I did before to get into the actual major sooner and be declared as a business economics major with an emphasis in accounting undergraduate student.
So the classes I am currently taken are Economics 1 (Principles of Economics-Micro), Economics 2 (Financial Accounting), and an upper division class — PSTAT 120A (Probability and Statistics). For the course descriptions of these class, please check my university hosted website here. So far, my economics classes are doing fairly well. I have been getting A’s and B’s on homework and exams. My probability and statistics class is a different story. This is my toughest class this quarter. It seems like every quarter, there “has to be” at least one extremely difficult class. I yet to have a quarter where I was confident in all my classes. But life goes on whether I do good in this class or not. I plan to stay here for summer school, so in the end, this class will eventually get completed.
I have one more midterm left which is the last week before finals, which is really poor judgement in my opinion by the professor for Economics 1. Since the week before finals’ week is called “dead-week”. Dead-week is when students start studying for finals, since finals start that Saturday, the day after the last day of official class. But I am not worried, because after three midterms in that class, I have received an A on one of his midterm and a solid B on the second. So the outcome of the last midterm cannot hurt me, it can only help my grade.
Well, that’s the update for now. Here is a photo I took here at UCSB when I went for a walk around the campus and beach:
